Coding Premier League

An Overview of the event :  

(A brief description of each address from Welcome address to Vote of Thanks and Feedback)

Suggestive:

1.Welcome address can cover the objectives of the event
2. Presidential address can cover the relevance of the topic to the audience (Students / Faculty)
3. The Resource Person’s address will be on the topic
4. The person who propose the vote of thanks will start with the summary of the program, highlighting one point of each address and then propose the vote of Thanks)

CODING PREMIER LEAGUE (CPL) was organized by KCT ACM Student Chapter, in association with the Department of Information Technology, Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore.

Highlights:

  • Started from 18th February 2022.
  • Duration: 4 weeks (2 contests in a week).
  • Every Week Tuesday and Friday, coding contest was conducted.
  • Based on the scores on contest, the leader board was updated.
  • After four weeks, finals were conducted for top 4 teams.
  • Winner and runner teams were awarded with Prize voucher based on Leader board scores.
  • Each contest had maximum of 3 questions ranging between easy-hard level regarding the given topic of the week.

Leader board was listed based on the teams score and accordance with their timing in finishing their contest.

Outcome of the Event:

Candidates are tested with basic knowledge on Programming, DBMS, Aptitude, Operating System. CPL provided the opportunity to know where you stand in the coding world and find out your own strengths and weakness by competing with your competitors.

Agenda:

ROUND 1: Screening test (18/2/2022)

Venue: MS Forms

16 teams of 2 members are shortlisted from the participants.

ROUND 2: Coding League

Venue: Hackerank

Total of 4 weeks with 2 topics per week.

Tuesday and Friday are the chosen days for the contest.

Topics are decided accordance with the priority of placements.

Week 1 contest commenced on March 1st week (1/3/2022 and 4/3/2022).

Week 2 contest commenced on March 2nd week (8/3/2022 and 11/3/2022).

Week 3 contest commenced on March 3rd week (15/3/2022 and 18/3/2022).

Week 4 contest commenced on March 4rd week (22/3/2022 and 25/3/2022).

For finals top 4 teams were selected and made to compete to choose the final winner and runner of the competition. It is held on 30th March 2022.
