AWARENESS ON CYBER SECURITY

OVERVIEW

The Cyber Security Awareness Outreach for grade 8-10 students at Corporation Middle School featured an engaging session by A.V.V. Ritesh Sekar, who provided insights into the basics of cybersecurity, malware, and ransomware. This was followed by Velpandy C., who explained phishing and data breaches in an easy-to-understand manner. The session included interactive discussions, real-life examples, and relatable scenarios to capture the students’ interest. A quiz at the end reinforced the concepts and encouraged active participation. The event successfully educated young minds about safe online practices and the importance of digital responsibility.

OUTCOME

The outreach program effectively raised awareness among grade 8 students about critical cyber security topics such as malware, ransomware, phishing, and data breaches. Students actively engaged in the session, demonstrating keen interest and understanding through their participation in discussions and the concluding quiz. The quiz results reflected a solid grasp of the concepts shared during the event. Teachers appreciated the initiative, noting its relevance and the students’ enthusiasm.
